Title: Val st Lambert? Vase
Post by: Margi on June 13, 2010, 11:01:40 AM
Good afternoon

I have this wonderful large vase of which is extremely heavy.  It is crystal of a twisted body form.  Thick large foot base with a deep birdbath.  Lots of wear around the edges of the base.  In beautiful condition.  The man who I would guess was about 70-80 explained it was his mothers and he thinks she had it in the 30's/40's.  I think it reminds me of the Val st Lambert twist items but could anyone confirm or deny please.  Also it was lilac in the sun but when I got it home it is more grey does this make it neom. I ask because the shading is different to my other neom items.
Many thanks for your help.

I really don't think it's neodynum - could it be sun-purpled with age?
