Just wanted to share a pic of one of a set of six gorgeous plates which I found last week, and which are identified on Pamela's site as made by
Inwald A.G. Oberhausen Glas Funcke & Becker and dating from 1928. Pamela's are pink and mine are an amazing golden amber colour. Also want to say a big THANK YOU to Pamela, as without her brilliant site (http://www.pressglas-pavillon.de/) I'd not know who had made them. Thanks Pamela. :kissy:

would like to second that 'toast' to Pamela's brilliant site - picked up a lovely electric blue Markhbeim 1937 vase this morning, and without Pamela's help I would be none the wiser as to what it is. Three cheers for the wonderful Pamela. Apparently we use the word 'toast', because in the C18 when acknowledging someone's charitable contribution, they really did eat a piece of toast with their drink ;D

I don't think that is an Inwald pattern. I agree that it is like the one on Pamela's site that is identified as Inwald Olivettes Tudor 1928, but I don't think that is actually the Inwald Tudor pattern. It's similar but there are significant differences.
You can see a clip from the Inwald 1928 catalog below, that shows the pattern. Also, on my old website, on this page, scroll to the bottom to see a decanter in the Tudor pattern (Bohemian Ovals).

Ahhh I see what you mean Glen, thank you, the central star is different on mine too.
Now before I went to Pamela's site I checked the plates over and what I did notice is that they have the fabulous mirror shiny polished base which you associate with Inwald, so could they be a different Inwald pattern perhaps? Or who else might have produced those bases?

Special thanks for pointing to obvious mistakes, Glen. I missed to correct this former attribution.
From far away in Hongkong I'd say your and my plate, Anne, are in fact Funcke & Becker, Oberhausen Glas. I've got a labelled one meanwhile, named IRIS [pattern] if I remember it right.

Still always learning here over the years and I'm sure there are many more mistakes and misattributions, and corrections are always very welcome!

Pamela, thank you for checking and posting the pics. :kissy: As your plate is pink and the label says Rosen Kristall, does that refer to the pink colour? As mine are gold/amber I presume they'd not be Rosen Kristall but would have a different name?
I've not heard much about Funke and Becker before, do you have a date for these please? (And did they make trinket sets too? ;))

Anne, I do not know very much, can only find different dates, some say 1863 - 1962, others speak of established 1870 or 1877.
No catalogues found so far, can only attribute if labelled or marked:

Rosen Kristall: I believe it's a trade mark and not for pink only. Pink in German is 'rosa', whereas 'Rosen' are roses (flowers).

Oh thank you Pamela, Rosen = Roses not pink... that'll teach me to use the online translator instead of assuming! :-[
The tea warmers are lovely, and that trinket (more like toilet perhaps?) set is amazing... what are those little indents in the tray for please? I've been puzzling over that and trying to figure out what you'd put in there... I can see a soap tray and the long tray for comb / hat pins etc... but the one with the recesses has me stumped! :o
