I have also just bought this rather pretty perfume bottle, with IOW glass label, but no pontil mark or etched name anywhere. This is my first piece of IOW glass, and I have not found much info on the net. any pointers to where I can find more info would be appreciated.
It does not seem to be from a current range on their own website. Does anyone know what range it is and any idea of age? It has a bit of wear to base.
Including stopper it is 10.5 cm ( 4.1.4 inches) high, 7 cm (2 3/4 inches) wide, and 3 cm ( 1/1/4 inches) thick.
thanks JAK

picture of label in case that helps with age :)

Meadow Garden Clover I think, 1984-1986. Clover was introduced in 1983 but the small flask perfume bottle wasn't made until 1985. Clover was discontinued in 1986. Info Michael Harris, Mdina Glass & Isle of Wight Studio Glass, Mark Hill

Thanks Christine - what a speedy reply! Sounds like a book I need to buy if I am going to collect any more.
And meadow garden clover describes its colours perfectly ! Thanks again.

Thanks to every one for your help with this - another thought crossed my mind - as I am new to IOW glass I also have no idea of values, and in fact ended up paying more for this than I expected - 'cos I wanted it badly enough ;D
So does it go into ;
too expensive but I don't care
paid about the right price, or
what a bargain !
It cost me (including postage) $45 (Aus) which is about £25 I think at present
Thanks JAK

Probably a bargain - I reckon, going by the early age and the limited production period - but there's a premium on perfume bottles, I think. They have their own collectors in the same way that paperweights do - a reason I avoid them!

Often people forget that when they buy a perfume bottle they are buying two pieces of glass, both of which have to be made. Once made the stopper has to be ground in to the bottle. This process adds time. Just one reason why perfume bottles often cost more. £25 including postage is certainly good value. :)

Silly question (Maybe) Did this company make any PW at all? Just curious....

I also Need to buy..

thanks for the replies - that just makes it a little sweeter :D
And as this makes the ninth perfume bottle in my collection of glass - I guess I'm hooked on those too!
4 Caithness ones , 4 by an Aussie called Michael Hook, which I think are gorgeous - see one example pic below, and now an IOW one. Guess I will be looking out for more of those too
Rose - I ordered the Mdina book direct from Mark Hills publishing - seemed to be the only place with it available - it was out of stock everywhere else I looked
Thanks again everyone.

Hi Rose, IOWSG have made paperweights from the earliest days in the 1970s and are still made today: http://www.isleofwightstudioglass.co.uk/acatalog/Paperweight_Collection.html (http://www.isleofwightstudioglass.co.uk/acatalog/Paperweight_Collection.html). I'm not really into PWs so you won't find many pictures on my web site.

JAK, Definitely a bargain! I'd be prepared to pay 50% more for your PB and not feel cheated. IOWSG prices have really zoomed up in the last couple of years because of the publicity Mark's book has given. It was the reason why I started collecting IOW (I collect French (D'Avesn, Etling, Verlys), German (WMF) and English (Jobling) Art Deco too).

And I collect the bits I love.
PWs are made in all the different ranges of the Collections too - scroll down on each page to see them in each design.
