Another of todays purchases, has hallmarked silver rim for 1903 and suspect it could be Loetz, but I don't know their patterns or shapes at all, it's 7" tall, any ideas.

Well at least the period is right but could equally be one of the other Bohemian makers of the time.
Look at www.loetz.com for a similar shape.
If no luck there then try David Littlefield's site at http://hometown.aol.com/dlfd911/myhomepage/collection.html/
and Verre D'art at

Thanks PT
Off for a bit more light reading.

Well no joy on any of those sites, and here's another of todays which may have a similar pedigree, whatever that is.

Just under 8" high also has silver rim h/m for 1913 with textured body.

Ahhh this one is a few steps up IMHO
Very nice :mr.green:
Interesting shape ...not so often seen
"Silveria" (a range / line) comes to mind ...but I may be off....and I guess you would have looked at that line already ....didn't you ?
Your pic doesn't do it justice - I just know its stunning "in vitro"
Worth an e-mail w pics to Eddie Scheepers at Loetz.com

Silveria is very different and very rare and exquisite. S&W, see Hadjamach page 284

No Frank we are talking about Bohemian glass here....ie Kralik Silveria as shown at www.loetz.com.
I can't tell from Chuggys pic if thats a possibility or not....its not sharp enough and Eddie Scheepers himself is still exploring this particularly un-researched niche, it would seem.
Besides I don't have Hajdamach
OK here's a S&W Silveria (so they say)

Nothing like Chuggy's piece

I've mailed pictures to Eddy so will see what he thinks. the irridescence is very light in the upper body and difficult to capture, but can't find anything comparable with the rings on the lower stem.
See all this is the fault of the GMB, I was quite happy with my Murano, now it's Bohemian, Scandi and heaven only knows what else to come.
