Post by: Guira on July 02, 2010, 08:04:52 PM
Hi!
Me again!
Just wondered if someone could tell me if I have an original rummer glass, and if I do who made it and how old it is.

Kind Regards for any help received

This style of glass is pretty common, German / central europe, called a roemer, still made by many factories,
i dont think yours is very old.

Hi Andy!

Thanks for commenting.  Are you able to give me an idea of the age of the glass?  Do you need to see a better photo?

Many Thanks

Kind Regards

it is tricky to tell from your photos, as i say its a style thats been used for over 100 years, better photo may help,
is there any sign of age wear to the base? I think the etching looks like grape and vine, cant see the quality very well though.
