American?
It's 180mm tall. It looks new but there's a fair deal of wear to the base.

Hi...
I've seen quite a few of these vases here in Poland (mostly with 4 roses going down, either in pink, clear, blue or amber). They are normally attributed to Huta Niemen or Hortensja, 1920s+.
All the best.

Thanks Anik

In this link (which will unfortunately disappear quickly) http://allegro.pl/wazon-art-deco-huta-szkla-niemen-i1228516923.html there is a photograph of a page from a Polish magazine "Kolekcjoner". According to the information in the article, this vase is attributed to Huta Niemen c. 1930.

Is that the designer ( if so who was the maker.)? Just tried a Google, but all in Polish so none the wiser! LOL!

Huta Skła Niemen was the glassworks, set up in 1891 by Wilhelm Krajewski and Juliusz Stolle. It survived until 1939, its most successful period being between the wars.
