somewhere on the board in recent weeks - and I thought it was on Glass Events, but now can't find the source - there were examples shown of pressed 'blue fish' - like this one, in reference to an exhibition. I see from Pamela's site that the originals were Bernsdorf ref. S.9/15 - No. 01556. On the original there would have been in the dead centre of my second picture, a circular impressed decal with the word FOREIGN (in circular form). Can the pressed glass experts remind me please who made these blue copies. It may well have been a British manufacturer - in which case perhaps the mods. can move this post please. The length of the dish is about 220mm. Thanks for looking. Paul S.
P.S. I have ordered the three Sowerby discs., so if it's on on of those, then yes, I am acquiring the data for next time ;D

Not all Ankerglas Bernsdorf production was marked, what makes you think this is a copy?

These fish are extremely common in various colours and usually unmarked.

thanks to both of you. --- guess my assumptions getting me into trouble again?? :pb: So is this more likely to be Bernsdorf, or might it be another pressed glass manufacturer?? - or is it impossible to determine. :) thanks

Paul, I think your 'assumptions' were based on logic... and there's nothing wrong with that. By the way, I really like this fish. :)
