Hi I'm new here.
Last summer holidays in Italy I bought 2 almost identical chandeliers, from the estate of a Hotel in Riva Del Garda. They told me they were Murano probably end 30's, begin 40's. I directly liked them, because of the gellyfish/octopus form, it looks like it's has speed and is falling from the ceiling. I thought they were Barovier or Seguso, but at now I'm not so sure anymore.
The golddust varies, the big bowl and the upper candles have lesser gold as the arms and other parts, the upper ball is filled with it. It's not 'Cordonato d'Oro'. Measurements of the glass parts 38cm in height, 39 width, total length 63cm.
Hopefully someone can help me with a factory, dating, name of a production line or everything else.
Mod: Link to wall lights, bought from same hotel http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,35811.msg194585.html#msg194585

They look like very nice chandeliers. Why not write Barovier and Toso in Murano with the photographs and ask if they recognize them? They seem to be focusing on lighting more these days.
I took a photograph of a couple of chandeliers I have around Venice and Murano and I found everyone very helpful. It's not just commerce for most of them.

Hi David, thank you for your advice. It took along time, because of my and their summer breaks.
First I got a mail from Barovier & Toso, that they doesn't belong to their production, they suggest the Seguso factory.
Vetria Artistica Archimede Seguso Slr. mailed me, that the chandeliers could be made in their factory. But they couldn't add anymore, because it needs a lot of time to look at the archives. So next time I visit Venice, I have a personel invitation to look at it !!
Although it's not sure that they are Seguso, I'm very, very happy with the results. I also bought some wall lights (bought them together), so they are maybe also Seguso's.

Jealousy is creeping out of me every where. I would love to get hold of some Seguso (Archimede or not) wall lights. >:D

BTW, this is another gorgeous light you have. I do have a question about it though. Have you found any signatures on the chandelier by chance? I know Archimede Seguso signs his chandeliers (not sure if this is the case all the time though). What an honor to be invited to the Seguso furnace!
Here is link to an Archimede Seguso chandelier that is signed. The signature is hard to make out though.

Fantastic Tam Bam, I did several searches last year, but never found something with that much similarities. The ribbons, on the arms and other parts, are the same factory to me. I don’t think they imitate eachother that much ??
I allready looked for a signature when I cleaned all the parts, also for lable residu’s. This morning I took a second look on both lamps, but there’s absolutely nothing.
Thank you very much Tam bam for that thread, I’m so happy. Is it too early to say “It’s signed all over” ???
