Title: Pink bowl
Post by: Ursa_major on July 09, 2010, 09:25:46 AM
I am fairly sure this is pressed with the crinkly bits added underneath afterwards (sorry about the description). 270mm long and 70 high. The feet are ground. can anyone help with an ID?

Have a similar one in blue and thought it was 'Hortensja' Poland but after posting was told it was probably Czech,Stolze, watch me get corrected again! :-[

Have just found one without the crinkles on Glaskillians site attributed to Hortensja. Have you seen any indication of date?

The crinkles (probably Matthey Crinkles) probably date it to the 1950s, though it may be a design with a very long life. Never seen a crinkled one before

Thanks for the links Anne. I have had a look at Marcuss' CD and there are two pieces shown in the Hermanova hut catalogue, a jardiniere with numbers 18955-18738 and a cheese dish 18948. I believe Hermanova also did this pink colour.
So probably Hermanova hut but pre Sklo Union?
