Hi - I'm back for more help with my latest purchase.
I bought this stunning charger/shallow bowl yesterday from a little shop, the dealer kept it for me as he thought it said IOW but I quickly told him it wasn't.
But I loved it anyway and it was only £20 but I know nothing about Swedish glass but thought it was well signed and I could do some investigation when I got home, but I can't make out the signature or find anything close to matching it.
I'm going to keep it for my own collection, I would be grateful for any help.
Thanks again Carol

Looks like:
Ekenas
J O Lake (John Orwar Lake)
So Swedish and likely a design from the 60's or 70's. More often found in blues and greens.
Good buy. :sun:

Nice buy at a good price. IMHO, Lake is under-rated. although recently his work seems to be fetching higher prices. As John says, generally his work is in stronger colours, particularly a green with some blue, as John said, and an orange.

Thank you for help, I can now see it reads Ekenas (would never have guessed that!). :hiclp:
Does anyone know what the numbers below the J O Lake would be for?
Thanks again :rah:

I believe they are production numbers, but I've never seen an explanation of Ekenas numbers.
