Title: Help Identifying Scottish Millefiori Paperweight?
Post by: Glassheart on July 11, 2010, 05:31:02 PM
Hi Guys,
Recently bought this weight off ebay for a tenner, my intention is to sell it on again.  Not an expert, but am I along the right lines in thinking this is definitely scottish?  My first impressions were Strathearn, am I close?

Any thoughts appreciated, regards

Monty

Welcome Monty,I'd have gone with Strathearn a few weeks ago but if I've learned anything recently, bound to be wrong again,I think it may be a Perthshire,Keith.

Hi.  I'm pretty sure it is a Perthshire PP1 design (if around 3 inch diameter) or PP2 (if nearer 2 1/2 inch diameter).  These were their commonest products.  If it is in pristine condition you should certainly get your money back, and maybe a small profit.

Keith, Tropdevin

Many thanks for clearing that up!  At least I got the country of origin right!
