Title: pitcher and glasses
Post by: malcmat on July 12, 2010, 06:38:20 PM
Hi, i have acquired this pitcher and 6 glasses. The set is well made and covered in gold leaf or other? Fine lines of gold adorn the pitcher and the glasses. The glass  has a pink hue about it and base is clear and smooth but not ground
The pitcher stands 10.5 inches tall and the glasses6 inches tall.
Is the style 1930s? and could there be a known producer?
Many thanks in advance

dating strikes me as later than 1930s - it looks more 1950s-70s to me but i am open to counter suggestions....i couldn't begin to identify the maker.

They could be Borske Sklo; this sort of thing is typical of them. I would go for 50s/60s too

Many thanks to everyone for the comments and leads. I will certainly follow them up and of course feed back if anything comes up.
Great site and nice people.
