I am no expert on Whitefriars, but doesn't this item (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5574631383&toolid=10001&campid=5336261829&customid=&icep_item=270605825985&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg) look much more like early Perthshire? Or maybe some other maker? (Item specifics says maker : Whitefriars)

It's certainly similar to my Perthshire inkwell.  Mine has a big "P" in the center, though, and the red lines in the stopper extend all the way to the bottom.
