:hi: Hi, I assume that this might be a Shot Glass....about 3 inches tall. See no marking, but it does glow brightly -- I was just having problems trying to get a good pic
Any ideas on age, or maker?
Thxs as always :)
*** Pics Now added, geeeez thought I had them here -- Sorry ***

Ah, Rose, you're being much too hard on yourself... the pictures are beautiful! :24:

Gee -- where did the pics go. I was sure that they were there. Must have Water on the Brain....Rain Water that is. I have now added them -- Sorry :'(

>:D >:D >:D Maybe, as you were posting, you were checking if it really was a shot glass... :24:
-
Rose, now that I think of it, 3 inches is pretty big for a shot glass... maybe it's something else?

>:D Not for my shots..... ;D
They would be too small for a Juice glass -- I think...??

No, I would go with three inches for a juice glass. :sm:

Or even a jelly/jam jar which were often used as drinking glasses but it's not what I think of as a typical shape for that.

Hi there:
Went back to this item, and took a better pic on a darker surface with the UV torch to show the Glow. I also measured it again -- and it is ONLY 2 inches tall. Where I got 3 inches before, is beyond me. Must have been the *contents* in it. :24: Sorry for the wrong size, but here is a better pic of the glow anyways too.
:ooh:
Makes a big difference on a dark surface with the UV light.....much better pic

Ah, the joys of alcohol... it has a way of making glass bigger, and people appear more attractive than they really are :24:

That is my story, and I'm sticking to it -- for giving the wrong size :spls: Now we can (maybe) figure this item out....

My guess would be from the US again on the basis of the base. 1920s/30s

Rose and there was me thinking it was men that measured wrong

At 2" I think you were right on with the shot glass idea. I've got some tucked away somewhere that are kinda similar and don't know what they are. Don't think mine glow though. Have to dig them out sometime. I agree with Lustrousstone on likely origins.

But Margi, do you know why women are such bad judges of distances (size)? :24:
