I am still sorting through all my vases and trying to display them on my newly built shelves. Again I have no idea.
7.5" tall.

Your second one looks very similar to Kosta Boda's candle holders designed by Ann Warf. Might be worth checking out.
Not sure about the two vases. Lots of companies made similar looking ones.

Do you know if she designed larger vases in the same pattern?
I have 2 others, definitely from the same factory. One is huge clear glass/flint and a medium sized one which is white glass.
Hopefully I will find out more when I get down to searching tomorrow.Again, thank you. :wink:

Can anyone help me out here and tell me how to google sucessfully to find out about Ann Warf? I can find references that say she worked with certain people, but nothing about her or her works.

I think I have it. Her name is spelt in lots of ways and Warff seems to do it.

Found this on eBay.
I had one of these once, it was packed full with candle wax. "Put it in the microwave for a few seconds, that'll shift it" I was advised by the seller. No prizes for guessing what happened to it........ :evil: :cry:

Standing in a bowl of warm (not hot!!!) water works better in my experience. :) (First making sure the glass is not cold of course - room temperature (c.70 deg F) is usually OK - so if it's been somewhere colder, or you've bought it and come in from shopping or it's arrived in the mail, allow it to come to room temp unwrapped before you wash it so there are no temperature changing cracks.)

I have been searching most of the day and it seems that the candle holders by Ann Warff were only made in clear glass and are much smaller than my "vase," which is 5" high and 6" wide. (That is the one problem with photo's, it is not easy to see size.) So back to the drawing board for me. I have seen vases identical to the other two, but in a different colour, attributed to Riihimaen Lasi.
As for the candle wax, I had the same problem with one of mine. I, fortunately, stood it in warm water like Anne suggests. It worked a treat too. I am sorry to hear of the disaster with yours :cry: :cry:

I think your first 2 items are Austrian or Italian - I have the same in green. The larger ball shaped one I think is Ingridglass from Germany.
There is hardly a nodding relation to the Ann Wärff (yes it does carry an umlaut) Snowball votives, which are made from solid crystal and which indeed have a tendency to split right down the middle if used. If you're going for a snowball, make sure you get the medium size (they disperse the light more effectively than the small ones), leave it alone if it is yellowish (these are fakes and there are lots of them) and do not pay top money. Another one will turn up.

Her early work was produced under the name Ann Warff, because she was married to Goran Warff. After their divorce, she reverted to her maiden name, Ann Wolff, and her later and current work is produced under that name.
