Post by: Kez on July 19, 2010, 10:50:46 AM
Hello, this blue bulbous vase is 7 inches high and 7 inches at widest point, it has a ground polished pontil. Can anyone help with ID please, with thanks

Lovely design, I've had one of these for 15 years or so & never managed to attribute. I was thinking Zwiesel, but they're not really documented...

yes, it's very nice indeed, Kez

- but it has a polished pontil mark. A pontil is a long metal rod, a glassmakers tool, which leaves the mark when the glass is removed from it. (can't quite get rid of my GrumpyOldPedant thing)
