Hi, im guessing here but maybe a souvenior, i have searched and searched but with no joy so if anyone could help, any information is appreciated.
Thanks Robert.

I googled Cunard ARC and got that both were shipping/cruise companies associated with Southhampton. Perhaps the bear is a momento of a polar cruise??

hi, i thought that this may be the case as cunard is a shipping/cruise company also, arc is that not a french glass manufacturer? what i was hoping for was maybe what cruise and when if it is from one, and having never seen this model just wondered if the people on the GMB may have seen these in the past
Thanks for looking.

I ran into this flag for ARC. They are a British shipping Co. I thought it coincidental that they were tied to Southhampton after I read the place for Cunard. I don't know anything about the companies other than what is on Google's first couple of pages -- pretty much nothing -- so I could be paddling the wrong waters.

ID= Hadeland, Norway

Yes, definately a Hadeland bear Alfies Dad.....it would be good to know why it has Cunard Roc on the base though.
Rosie. :sun:

Probably freebies on an arctic cruise.

I don't exactly know Rosie, but I'm guessing a souvenior bought while on a Cunard cruise in Norway, there you experience looking into polar bear dens and maybe Cunard commisioned the bears from Hadeland to be sold in there gift shop....? But if anyone does have a better suggestion it would be good to know for sure.

If they were just sold on board they would not have the company names etched on the base. That would have been commissioned by the named companies, often in cases like this to commemerate something. A gift to commemerate a maiden Arctic voyage would fit the bill (sorry about the repetition).
