Title: oil candle continent of origin
Post by: cubby01 on July 21, 2010, 10:41:23 PM
I've narrowed it down to Earth.  Next step is which continent?  It's 5-1/4" (13cm) tall, 5-1/2" (14cm) across the base.  Hmm, kinda looks like a volcano.  The base rim is ground flat and nicely finished.  It's obviously an oil candle.  The amber layer of glass is almost like pulegoso glass whith a heavy concentration of bubbles under the oil reservoir which reflect nicely.  The base amber color is cased in clear or very light blue that runs to the top.  My wife thinks mass market asia probably fairly recent but I'm not seeing anything just like it when I browse.   Thanks.
