:hi:
I recently bought this glorious beast (a "bin" price that was just toooo tempting for such a wonderful piece), but know very little about the company, beyond the info I've gleaned here, Lesley Jackson's 20th Century glass and the Great glass website - through which I found the Eisch website.
I believe my beast to be a "Peacock" from the "Poesie in Glas" series, putting it at '77 or later, so may have been designed by Erwin himself, but I'm not sure.
It isn't marked, but has a paper label tied onto it's handle.
I'm really curious to know for certain who the designer is and it's date - can anybody help me please?
Here it is!

Thanks! I simply couldn't resist it. As my interest is in the british side of the early Studio glass movement, I reckoned I needed at least one piece from the Eisch Studio, as an example from that side of it... funny how you can justify getting nearly anything when you see something which makes your jaw drop and it's actually affordable. The same's happened with some early american pieces, which I really was trying to avoid getting involved in. (far, far too much glorious stuff!)
The Eisch piece came from Germany.

Hi Sue, yes i know what you mean with regards to affordable pieces. I am in the states for 3 plus weeks later this year and i am not looking forward to dragging my case full of goodies back to GB. LOL
Attached the vase i purchased on a whim in an auction not meaning to but it was to good to miss.
