Title: I assume this is a Bohemian maker but who? - ID = A. D. Copier for Leerdam, NL
Post by: ahremck on July 31, 2010, 08:52:44 AM
This nice amber ashtray is very heavy , and the lines are particularly clean.  The base mark either reads C and L reversed OR L and C reversed.  I have no idea who they might be but I am confident one of you will.

Sorry for the large number of posts but I am catching up on my collection catalogue that has got a bit behind.

The marking looks very like A. D. Copier for Leerdam, 1935-45. Nice find.

Thank you , David.  I missed the dot between the C & L.  It is indeed an A. D. Copier for Leerdam.

I googled and found a site that shows Leerdam marks. [ http://www.xs4all.nl/~abel/leermark.html ]
