I've only been able to find a couple of examples on the net and both seem to have cased clear glass at the foot which this one doesn't . It is very well made, very heavy 17cm tall. I thought it was Fontana but I'm not sure now :-\
I've been through designlasi and two other sites which have a lot of Finnish glass, but I can't see it. Any thoughts as to what it may be if it isn't?
Many thanks

Hi Greg
I had found that and it made me query it. But I thought it may be from the range? or is Fontana the name of the shape? My Finnish glass knowledge is very limited.
So if it isn't I wonder what it is then? I have searched another site which also has a lot of textured glass as well as Designlasi and I can't see it ::)

I felt sure it was Finnish ::)

it does ring a vague bell somewhere, need to rack my brains...

By the way I think Fontana is the name of the shape.

It's Tiffin's Madeira and for some strange reason quite common in the UK http://www.hillhousewares.com/category6maker7.html
Even more strangely that colour (Olive Green) contains uranium, though the Cornsilk doesn't.

Thanks again Greg - wasn't sure whether the names referred to shapes or not.
Christine, that's fantastic, thanks very much and yes it reacts to uv light quite strongly. It's the particular green colour I really love. Seems to be a water glass, but I can't imagine drinking water out of it without dropping it :o It's really heavy. Must look amazing to have a table dressed with a whole range of these.

To nit pick, I think it's the largest, the iced tea, though it won't have been sold for that here.

yes you are right :)
