I picked up this chunky rough textured dish a while ago because I liked the pattern, but I have no clue at all where to place it. The rough texture initially made me think of Scandinavian, and I've seen a few examples of rough style dishes that were labeled Peill, but those were different in pattern. It doesn't have any wear to the base that I can see, so it could be fairly recent, but I have no idea if this is the sort of thing Chinese or IKEA would like to make?
It's 20.5 cm long, 19 cm wide, and about 5 cm high.
Any hints appreciated, speculation is OK too,
Astrid

It is Walther and specially designed to confuse you.....

Thanks Ivo, with that I could find a reference that this is part of what they call the Siebenstern Collection. The Siebenstern collection name apparently has been in use for some time, and still is, so it could indeed be a fairly recent bowl, so I can simply use it without feeling anxious about it.
And I'm quite sure it wasn't designed to confuse me, but to seduce me into eating too many bonbons... After all, you can see the pattern much better if you first eat all the bonbons on it.
