Title: Tall triple cased bottle vase - U.V. reactive
Post by: Anne E.B. on August 12, 2010, 06:57:35 PM
Have any of you folks any ideas where this originated from please and who might have made it?  I'm 'veering' towards Italian as it was amongst other "Murano" pieces, but not sure.  It appears to be triple cased.  The base is U.V. reactive and to a much lesser degree the rest of the vase, but this isn't captured by camera.  There also appears to be a clear section at the bottom.  Approx. 14½" tall - 1.6kg+ and masses of age related wear on the base.  Its a bit of a beast ;)
TIA  :sun:

Me three  :)

I've seen Murano glass decanters similar to this in the past.  Is there any wear to the inside of the rim to suggest it once had a stopper fitted?
