Hi all, I recently picked up this bark textured vase, I thought it looked very Ingrid-ish at first, but it has a bird bath style base which I haven't seen on an Ingrid piece before. The rim also seems a lot thinner than usual. Any ideas? Could it be Oberglas maybe? Or :or:?

I think you could be right. Oberglas is a contender - but it could also have originated in Empoli. It is one of those "on the one hand.... but then on the other..." items. I wouldn't even exclude Ingridglas.

Also exclude W/Fs . Wrong shape for a start . SORRY

...as suggested in the title. No need to apologise.

Thanks very much for the Empoli suggestion Ivo. :)

I would exclude Japanese due to the base and the rim. The base is not a finish I would expect and the rim looks too 'free form' for something from them.
I would be looking at a European maker.

Thanks for the info Kane. :)
