Hello :) very heavy vase 5 inches at widest point and 5 inches tall ,,clear glass with blue and white mottled pattern the base is polished not ground and shows a bit of age (i thought it had a mdina look to it but has no markings) any info would be good- thanks.

I think the neck is a bit long for Mdina, and the flange on the rim too small - I'd be going in the direction of Phoenician (or possibly Mtarfa for this piece), but Phoenician is most likely. :thup:
Phoenician glass is currently highly under-rated, it's one to be snapping up just now, but be careful to pick the most beautiful and accomplished pieces!
Mottled (I call it splodgy) Mdina tends to be a white slpodgy background with an area of coloured bits, (apart from some which I believe to be early '70s, but post-Harris, where the arrangement of the splodges is rather complex, there are trails of glass strapped around the body, which have a contrasting colour of splodges on them, all marvered in cased and further blown.
I have a piece I believe to be Phoenician which has this top and bottom arrangement of the colours, with some lovely swirls pulled into it. It also has a Maltese Cross prunt, but the cross is a different shape to the Mdina one, and I've never seen a Mdina one with these swirls.
