Have to say, to the untrained eye it looks at the very least like a really good night on the chianti. Have you had questions, John?

Hi Cathy no questions but the first time on there were loads of watchers but no bids , i could have put a better signature on myself after the Vino , 20 years ago was anyone over here that interested in Nason . Have any members got a Nason signature to compare ? . Its a beautiful vase .

Any clues as to what the label actually says? I can't make it out for love nor money.

The label is Vincenzo Nason definitely. The signature looks a little like some they did, but it is messier. I'm surprised to see it on the side instead of the bottom. It marked up the nice finish.

It reads V Nason&Co Murano Italy , the signature is low down opposite the label where the vase curves in i didnt scrutinise items as i do now and didnt notice it for quite some time, it is much bigger on the picture so looks a lot worse than it is but is has bugged me for some time , i still cant see someone doing this to a low priced item twenty years ago . :-\
