Title: Ermanno Nason Cenedese sculpture
Post by: 310patrice on August 20, 2010, 09:12:04 PM
I bought a murono sculpture on the island in 1971.  I found it in a back room and it is signed (etched) Ermanno Nason Cenedese and dated 1971 with Murano added on the bottom.  It is 14 inches high and one of a kind.  Any information or idea of worth??

Ermanno Nason is a highly respected glassblower. He worked for Cenedese 1964-71 where he was master blower and designer, along with Da Ros. So everything about your piece so far points to it being authentic, but we'd need to see the piece before anybody could make further comments. Without seeing it, the range of prices make an estimate meaningless.

Lucky man, and it's time you placed it somewhere other than "a back room."
