Both pieces look like the 'new' influx of Chinese glass to me.  Especially with the large piece being on the square base.

Hi and welcome to the board. Please post one item per topic so that (a) we can keep track of which item we're talking about and (b) once identified the topic can be archived in the right place. Also using a properly descriptive subject line will help your topic catch the eye of someone who can help and with the search function if someone's seeking info again later.

I agree with Max.

I don't know your location on the planet - but in the uk, this sort of glass is often found (rather cheaply) in TKMaxx, any "Made in China" label removed and then it finds it's way onto stands in antiquey places and fairs... or in boot sales, described as Murano.....

If you like them and are happy with what you paid, no harm done - beyond being duped a bit and thinking it's really Murano. If you're hoping you've got some wonderful bargain, sorry.

Just be careful in the future - and check out your local tkmaxx!

I've also seen glass sculptury things on square bases in Wilkinson's Not this one though. China gets my vote too

I've got two of the teardrop shaped pieces, my daughters bought them for me at christmas from our local garden centre (Notcutts)  They were brand new but still nice to look at. I think the only new glass I own. ;D   Cheryl
