Title: I think this decanter is Bohemian, any one know otherwise
Post by: ahremck on August 26, 2010, 07:08:53 AM
This unusual eight pointed star decanter has no markings I can find.  It has a surface pattern over everything except the base which is ground smooth.  The glass colour is slightly brownish which sometimes indicates age.  As you can see from the fourth photo it has very thick walls.

I'd say it was a perfume bottle, not a decanter.

That is entirely possible Sue, but it is over 8" tall and over 4" across the base so it seems a little too large for that.

Big perfume bottles exist.  :sm:
It just looks much more like a perfume bottle than a decanter.

Ross, think cologne / eau de toilette rather than perfume and the size makes sense.
