Title: Amber Salt? Candle holder? for id
Post by: yesvil on August 30, 2010, 06:07:51 PM
I'm not sure what it is to be honest. The top or what I presume to be the top is formed into a shallow bowl. All help and guidance most welcome.

Definitely piano insulators or to protect the floor from the feet of furniture. They come in a wide range of colours, designs and sizes. Frequently seen on ebay as salts or ash trays. The top is the bit with the raised knobs.

# 2259 and # 2260: not like yours, just a proof that they were made everwhere at that time

As Christine said, protection of the wooden floor and also effective against the "noise" ?  :nogos:
