Title: Help in Identifying large orange glass

Hi.....Had this piece of orange glass for years in my mothers house we always thought it was Davidson she said her mother bought it in the early 40's...There was a similar piece on Ebay thought to be Fenton ...Can any one shed a light on it

It looks slightly streaky? If so I think this is a Davidson no. 21 bowl in orange cloud glass, dating from slightly earlier than you thought: 1933-35. [Source: Davidson Glass a history, Chris & Val Stewart]

It looks similar to a No.20 or 21, but the base looks wrong to me - almost as though it was intended for a plinth. I think both these bowls have a conventional foot, but dimensions would help here as it is recorded at 9-in (23cm) diameter. A little variation is known, but only ΒΌ-in (6.5mm). I do have a No.20 that I can photo for comparison, if required.
