Hi all
Please could you confirm colour and pattern number of bud vase tear drop. Much appreciated as always :) Chris

It looks rather like it may be neodymium(Alexandrite) glass. If you hold it near a flourescent tube does it raemain pale amethyst of turn to pale blue or pale green - if so it is neodymium glass. As far as I am aware WF did not do Neodymium objects. It would then probably be Czeck or Murano. Also from a rusty memory I feel that vases of this shape were always coated with an thick, clear, outer layer.

Hi ahremck
It does change colour to a pale blue. That was putting me off it being Whitefriars as well as i can't remember seeing anything of there's which does this. So Murano or Czech hmmm I will keep looking around the web. Thanks for the info :)

I think it's Caithness; shape and colour look right.

I agree with Christine .

What's a few hundred kilometres between factories? Wish they all marked everythin properly and save us so much grief.

It really would help.
Come on all you glass producers label your stuff!!! :)
-
It probably was labelled originally.

I am sure it is Caithness too, the shape is not Whitefriars nor the colour.

My thinking, for what it's worth is Caithness also. :)
