Would you please add dimensions and base views to your queries as without them we're working with tied hands. Ta!

Sorry, i pressed return and it posted my topic with out me typing anything. I just wanted to know if anyone could help identify this one. Its 27cm tall and is jade green in colour. It has an iredesent or opalesant sheen (never sure which one). The photo's not great i could post another in the light. Thanks

Its quite difficult to see the iredesent sheen with this light and camera. Thanks

I've looked through both of the Pina volumes plus a Miller's, and no joy. The assumption of Scandinavian is understandable, and it may yet prove to be so, but...........the slightly iridescent surface is unusual - and although worn, the centre of the base appears pocked marked and 'cheap' and the amount of wear excessive for a modern piece (however, not impossible of course). From what I can see the rim appears ground and polished (which is a sign of better quality), although the opaque appearance seems unusual. Might this possibly be something from the far east made to look a little older, does anyone think? :)

Cheers for the input. Heres a few more photo's in the daylight!

Not Finnish @ all - everything is wrong: thickness colour iridescence and finish. I would think Chinese or Romanian gets you closer. And it is fairly recent....

Im pretty sure its not recent. Far too much ware to the base and scratches on the sides. Cant really make it out on the photo's

I had a blue one of these once & have seen a couple of others; interesting piece but definitely not Riihimaki. The iridescence, cased powders and general feel led me to think it was related to these: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,33625.0.html . I'd be surprised if the rim on yours is polished, mine was quite roughly ground as were the couple of other examples I've seen.
