This is an intriguing vase approx. 11 in (28 cm) tall which I has been handed in for selling on Ebay for a charity. The stem is a spiral twist of emerald green glass which seems to be cased in clear glass, and then each of the 6 lobes of the spiral have "run down" to make a chunky base. The glass at the rim is approx. 0.25 cm thick - it is a sold, chunky piece of glass. Any help on this id would be very welcome.

Hi there:
Not sure who made it, but kinda reminds me of my Clear vase (here): http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,33850.0.html Mine also has 6 lobes too, but clear.
Your top opening (inside) looks a bit thicker....and your bottom has a slight twist to it, where mine does not. Mine is about 12 inches tall, but I should check my measurements, as sometimes I am too much in a hurry when I measure....LOL
The bases look similar to me....but I do not know who made it...but they (kinda) look related.....Maybe ???

Thanks - does look similar. The base on mine is clear and the stem is this emerald green. It is quite heavy. I expect that page you sent from a previous discussion is as close as we will both get to an id! All the best, KathleenM.

Hi there -- mine too has some weight to it. I think they are rather *pretty* -- being so streamlined, IMHO... ;)

Yes - I think they look quite classy.

I see these all the time here in the UK in charity shops, I think they are Far Eastern production, maybe Chinese!

Thanks every one for all your help. At least I now know how to describe it - if I even bother to list it. KathleenM.
