Title: rare irridized brickwork vase...Jiri Zejmon
Post by: norman warbreck on September 23, 2010, 09:55:52 AM
rather excited in finding my second only irridized piece. This vase has the lustre to both front and back with the sides left natural.

18,5cm high x 8,5cm x 6,5cm
I would be interested to hear from other collectors if they have similar pieces.
Many thanks
Norman

I have the twin to your vase, courtesy Marcus Newhall. It is breathtaking and has a significant place in my Carnival Glass collection.

hi there Glen
Great to hear that as i have seen no other and had me thinking  a rather rare piece. In the sunlight it comes up rather bright and with a soft night light it shows up with purple hews.
A real Jem IMHO

Hi Norman,
seems to me that this iridising had been made in 90ties, not in 1969 or 70ties. I have seen here many Sklo Union pieces iridised this style recently.
