:hi: is this :or: ? I have a funny feeling it is. Looks like a Hat vase with Brown Spots in it. It is about 6 inches tall, and 9 inches wide. Very large pontil scar. The bottom does show some wear, so I guess (or am thinking) this might be a Chinese Piece from the 80's maybe -- or not ?
Surprising me with something else ----> would be a :o

Hi there -- No idea at all....or should I trash it.....LOL....but I will still wait... :nk:
TIA

Impatient bunny, give us a chance. :kissy: it's only been a day since you asked, and a lot of folks are doing other stuff atm. :ooh:
My feeling is not Chinese but I could be wrong! :24: I can't pin it closer at the moment....

:spls2: :spls2: I know -- but I have not been on the board as much, been picking up leaves, and more leaves.
So sorry, but I am *leaning* :usd: towards Chinese too....LOL
I thought it was Cats that were curious....not bunnies

Don't assume everything is Chinese Rose. This looks much more like a piece from a small studio, so could well be Canadian. Just enjoy it.

Could well be from Muurla, Finland.

Rose - just to say that I have looked through both of the Pina volumes and Bill Geary's book, and can't see an exact match. Surprised me though, there are one or two Scandi outputs that have this 'spotty/blobby' sort of colourway, and I wouldn't dismiss it as being from that part of the world rather than the orient. Sorry it's not really of any help though. :)

Thanks for looking -- I am hoping :X: it is something more than :or: . I will see if I can find anything *spotty/blobby* in Scandi here......a road I have not yet taken on this piece. Every bit of info is a possible lead. Very large pontil scar....??? Is that normal ??
thanks
