Title: Jug (not Whitefriars)
Post by: shineyobjects on October 03, 2010, 10:56:02 PM
Hi, I've seen a jug on ebay and a friend of mine told me it was out of a whitefriars collection but I can't seem to find it in the whitefriars catalogue.
Heres the picture, I'm sure he is wrong.   :spls:

Potentially Scandinavian - they seem to pop up in Danish/Swedish auctions quite often. But Kastrup and Holmegaard can be completely discounted.

Could just as easily be Polish or Italian, though.

and mine, Anik.

It's a lovely jug. Jugs don't have to be wfs to be of merit.

The hand is not as crisp as I would like it to be honest it could have a slight better finish.
