Post by: Ohio on October 07, 2010, 10:06:57 PM
I obviously know the who, but the what? I don't know. Its only 2" in height & 2 1/2" length. Marked Portieux France & then a very faint, very small acid etch Made In France. Is this simply a small figurine? Thanks, Ken

Could also be a paperweight I suppose. He's rather cute. Whippets seem to be popular in France.

Thanks Christine...thats probabaly what it is as its way too small to be lid. I went through the two PV catalogs I have (1902-1908) & could not find it. Ivo gave me a URL for another PV catalog which like dummy I cannot find (although I swear I saved it) that might have it & I'll keep searching. Ken
