Anyone know anything about this company, country of origin. It's a rather nice quality glass, very Scandinavian in shape but the cut/etched design around it seems a bit out of context.

I have done a bit of Googling and believe this to be Swedish. But never heard of the company before.........anyone have any other examples of glass made by them?
-
Emmi I too have Googled a bit and come up with what sounds like was a pressed glass vase. A flower frog - with the same label. There is a location called Ekeberga just South of Kosta ( see Google Maps). Finally Kosta Boda has an "Ekeberga" pattern.
Speculation! BG = Boda Group ( or more likely Boda Glasbruk) and Ekeberga was one of the glassworks that made low cost useful glasswear - water glasses, flower frogs, cheap vases, whatever?

I suggest you look up Daniel S's profile and use his email to ask him directly. His personal knowledge of Swedish glass is fabulous.

Can anyone help me contact Daniel S? I can't seem to find any post or link to him.

Label says 'Special Crystal, BG, Ekeberga'.
Ekeberga was glass factory close to Kosta. Only active between 1953-56, possibly 1952.
Ekeberga produced raw glass. The Rawglass was sold to Decor Etching(Swe: Dekor-Etsing). And they made the glass ready for sale.
These are often marked D.E.K XXX on the bottom, D.E.K (Decor Etching Kosta).
1956 Dekor-Etsing bought Ekeberga and the company SEA was formed.
Now the problem is that it was several small companies around Kosta at that time and I really don't know if Ekeberga sold to other companies as well.
I hope this information is somewhat enough.

I found this question about bg ekeberga and bg means bröderna Green which means brothers of
Family Green. One of the brothers was My grandfather he was born 1903 and he and his brother
Started the company around 1930 and My grandfather was over 70 year old when he finished to work.
They bought rawglass and hade a little glass grinding.
Ekeberga is between Lessebo and Kosta , Småland.

Thank you very much - worth waiting four years to learn some interesting information. :)

Found this vase in a charity shop which has the same label. Flashed and cut.
Still confused as to maker. Would it have been made after Ekeberga was taken over and became SEA.
Height 6.5"
Weight 2634gm
Thanks Roy
