Here are a few photos of a very nice Mdina charger posted here for reference as they don't crop up very often. Made I would guess circa 1970 by Michael Harris, this one is in amethyst and yellow ochre (38cm or 15 inches in diameter). This colour combination is difficult to find, Sue has a stunning chalice, I have this Japanese globe vase: http://picasaweb.google.com/Johnmj100/EarlyMdinaGlass#5484548837927530450 and there is an early bottle probably in this colourway on page 45 of Mark Hill's book on Michael Harris - these are the only examples I have seen so far.

It's the only other charger similar to yours I've ever seen, and you did take some nice images of it when you were here. I wouldn't be stealing your thunder - your charger beats mine - and your Japanese Globe beats my Chalice! :mrgreen:

that's gorgeous! love the colour combination. Is it the same design as the bowl on page 39 in Mark Hill's book?

M, not the same design but it does look to be the same technique as the 'Rosenthal' bowl shown on page 39 and it's more than possible that one inspired the other.

It's the same colourway as the tricorn bottle on p.45., ff.
