Title: id request on citrine cut footed bowl
Post by: Paul S. on October 16, 2010, 05:31:03 PM
very attractive pale citrine - and the cutting is good, without (presumably) any fire polishing?   Most cut bowls seem to simply sit on their bottoms - but this has a footed pedestal (hollow as in the pic.).    Both top and bottom rims are ground/polished and bevelled, with a look of quality.    8"/205mm diameter  -  almost 5.5"/140mm high - and 'dings' well - with reasonable amount of wear on the foot rim - sadly no marks that I can find.    The colour may give an indication of origin, possibly, likewise the type of foot, so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know, and thanks for looking.
