Title: Turquoise looped footed bowl
Post by: flying free on October 19, 2010, 07:59:09 PM
I have no idea about this one at all.  Is it recent? the shape and design look quite contemporary to me.
It is very well made, lovely pulled loops, polished pontil and a stunning colour.  It looks as though the loops are white but then the whole was cased again in turquoise so the effect is subtle.  Very slightly lopsided, 10cm on one side and nearly 11cm on the other.  Any ideas on where to search would be much appreciated  :) 18cm or 7" wide.
Many thanks

I think so Rose, but then I had seen it described as looped so thought I better use that  instead  :-\
I have to say, I haven't seen many come up at all using any of those search words to be honest.  I've no idea how difficult this technique is to do but I know there have been a recent flux of some in the charity shops here.  But I haven't seen any like this.
thanks for looking.

It might be worth hunting down the Makora website and looking through their list of decors for a matching pattern.
