Title: Uranium cased ashtray
Post by: Anik R on October 21, 2010, 07:27:48 AM
Here is my second uranium piece...  a brownish-pinkish cased in green uranium ashtray.  It weighs about 1kg, is 70mm high and 160mm at its widest.  The base is flat and polished.  It gives a truly magnificent glow.

Again, I suspect Murano, about 60s-70s.  Can anyone provide me with more information?

Thank you for looking.  :)

Probably 50's/60's...the shape reminds me of some Archimede Seguso/Seguso Vetri pieces...but I suspect this piece isn't...very nice anik...

Thank you for responding   :kissy:

If I may ask, why do you suspect that it isn't Archimede Seguso/Seguso Vetri?  What's 'wrong' with it?  By the way, isn't the glow lovely?  ;D
