Had this a while had, forgot about it till it was resurrected on whitefriars.com in a thread about diamond moulding.
Any thoughts on a maker Webb, or another Stevens & Williams maybe? :sun:
6" high and quite weighty.

I have a small footed glass with this type of moulding on it which I've been trying to pin down for a while. I don't seem to have a photo of it so I'll take some and add later today, all being well. It has no visible maker's mark.
-
Thanks Anne, look forward to seeing the photo.

Is it the picture, or the difference between our perceptions of colour?
This does not look remotely green to me.
It's decidedly teal/(or in wfs terms, kingfisher) blue!
-
My take on the colour was teal (a greenish shade of blue) too, but I wasn't going to argue.
-
Green-ish blue it is then :sun:
Some more photos, nothing like kingfisher, though will need to check out teal definite green tinge to the base though.

That's the hedge you're looking at, through it!
:wsh:
-
One without the hedge.

That one still has garden greenery reflecting in it.
This one's better - no green tinge - no garden.

Quick question: Chris, is the blue one alongside the teal one in the pic Sue linked to in reply #8 a Whitefriars piece as I saw one of these yesterday and wasn't sure what it was.
-
Hi Anne Whitefriars Kingfisher blue tapered lobed vase pat no 9727

Teals are preferrable to kingfishers in my book! :nix:
-
Ahhh thanks Chris, maybe I should've picked it up after all! :-[ (It was £6.50 - is that reasonable or not?)
-
What colour Anne, hard to tell with whitefriars prices lately the cased ruby and blue £10-£15 lilac aubergine and silver a bit more, full lead crystal like aqua and especially sky blue normally sell well.

Chris :sun:

Darkish blue cased clear, Chris. Not Sky Blue sadly! :)
-
Will be Kingfisher then Anne :sun:
And finally Sue the last word, no trees, no hedges but definitely some green going on :P

ok, yup, conceeded, Chris.
A sort of contemporary "bottle-green-clear" colour where the glass is very thick (ie looking at the rim through to the base, and in the base.
