Title: Life is beautiful - fishies & birds have arrived !!!!!

received my jugs from the states today - i am soooooo happy - quite sure that the engraving has been made in Stourbridge .. any ideas who is to blaim :-)
....what a beautifil morning , what a beautiful day... lallalal.a

and i was right - i must have been the same engraver - watch the fish :-)

thx a lot - now i found out about bearing the  phrase "vi vivo et armis" underneath in a banner

Hennessy Family ( Ballymacoy co Cork ): an arm embowed in armour, holding in the hand a battle axe ..!
 and a branch is Hennessy which all lovers a fine french cognac will know  :chky:

Hi Thomas so happy for you , your collection is probably the best i have seen  ...! no not probably it is  and i admire your dedication , getting back to rock crystal glass engravers dont forget Fredrick Kny his work is second to none , he worked for Webb i believe and possibly others . looking forward to meeting you at Birmingham .jp

Love the *cubit arm, and sleeve* that is engraved there.  Is that a Family crest (hierarchy) -- whoops no, a cubit arm is cut off at the elbow....

thx a lot - i count the days till the fair is starting - but first i will visit the broadfield museum ....this trip will be one highlight after the other for me!! :rah: :rah:

(Herons do perch. It's weird seeing them up in trees.)

You'll have to look out for the Allister Malcolm Claret Jug in Broadfield House, Thomas.

It's the same as mine, but with a wonky handle. (It's the first one he made for me - then the handle, the last bit, went wrong, so he started all over from scratch!)

And you'll have to say "hello" to me too, 'cos I'm coming down for the Fair! :rah: :rah: :rah:
