Alison's topic at the ECA conference was the Glass Hotel and images of her contribution to this remarkable project are just uploaded. If anyone can fill in the blanks on the other makers commissioned it would be appreciated. Odd that the hotel does not list them all! I guess such long list do not suit marketing.

I went looking for the Hotel's website as soon as I got home - you do get brief images of a couple of bits of glass (and a lot of dull and boring hotel rooms).

I want a Viking boat "chandelier". It would go very nicely in the sitting-room.

I stayed at the Murano Hotel in Tacoma for a couple of days earlier this year, and the glass they have is quite spectacular. It was the first time I had seen an Alison Kinnaird piece, although I was familiar with her as a harp player. The collection is heavy on American Studio Glass, not surprisingly, but there is a good range on view. It's the first time I've wandered through a hotel looking at art. I think I have the brochure from the hotel that lists who they have there. I'll dig a little later today and send it on if I find it.

Sue: The Viking boat is is fantastic, even if it's a bit big for my dining room.

Super David, a scan of the text is enough as I can't use their images. Just hate having 3/4 full lists.

What I have is a little booklet that they give you when asked. I think it covers most of the pieces I saw, but it doesn't mention temporary exhibits. I seem to remember that the Traver Gallery had quite a few pieces there. Traver being one of the the first Studio Glass galleries. I hope this helps. The hotel staff were all very helpful when I was there so I would imagine that if you requested any information from them and told them what you do they would be very cooperative.
