Title: possible British made candle holder
Post by: Paul S. on October 30, 2010, 02:20:45 PM
certainly has that type of candle holder top - for a 3" candle - so a wide base very practical.   Height is about 4"/95mm - and presumably mould blown and without any pontil mark.  The nearest I can get to the colourway is that it has quite a strong similarity to my Langham pieces - including the clear casing  -  although they are all marked, and this is completely unmarked - I have looked at the Langham site, but dont see it there.   I feel it is British, but can't be more precise than that, so if anyone has  any ideas, please do let me know, and thanks as always for looking. :)

I would say not British, European more likely.

thanks Frank - although must admit I hadn't considered a continental source - too hung up on my thoughts of Langham probably.     Maltese possibly, anyone? :)    I should have added that the top rim is ground/polished - so combined with the clear casing, it does have some air of quality.
