400th Scottish Glass Making Anniversary Paperweight Auction
Sales end 14th, 15th & 16th November 2010

During the 2010 glass conference Mike Hunter, Twists Glass Studio, gave two demonstrations. At the first of these he made two paperweights and has donated both of these in aid of Scotland's Glass. The close pack weight Mike produced is not in his normal production range and only made occasionally for demonstrations so this a particularly special weight.

For the 2005 Perth Conference Peter Holmes of Scottish Borders Art Glass produced an edition of 32 paperweights (16 illustrated on Scotland's Glass (http://www.scotlandsglass.co.uk/cms/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=219&Itemid=6)) for purchase by delegates to the conference. The last of the edition No. 32 was donated by Peter in aid of Scotland's Glass and Ysartglass.com.

The auctions will continue with staggered endings until the 14th, 15th and 16th of November. 22:00 CET, 21:00 GMT. All proceeds will be donated to the N.P.O. Glass Study Association (http://glass-study.org/), recently formed to preserve glass web-sites permanently - including Scotland's Glass and Ysartglass.com.

Last day for the close-pack paperweight! 7 hours left.

Proceeds will help Scotland's Glass get a more powerful server, as the present is struggling to cope with the size of the database now and 1,000s more to add.
