I know it's unlikely either of these are going to be known/recognised but I have to try just in case. Specially with the pulled feather one. Does anyone recognise these paperweights at all?
Thanks for looking.

is the pulled feather one signed? or is it all just marks on the bottom of a matt finish? It looks like one Will Shakspeare might have made (whilst he was making his Syrian range?) - as a long shot. And his mark is incredibly difficult to find on many of his pieces.

sorry - just realised you are in the States so that suggestion is unlikely.

No worries about the location. I'm actually English and I do bring pieces over from the UK now and then so it was possible :D Although this piece was found local to Washington State.
Thanks for trying :)

I would not discount any suggestion - no matter your location. Pwts seem to be able to migrate to strange places. In my collection I have a Paul Ysart with H cane, a MIchael Bang without a Holmegaard marking ( verified by Peter Harder) - bought at a local op-shop, a Josh Simpson Planet - bought in a tiny town 100miles out of Melbourne, and a Goran Warff bubble sculpture from 1971 with his personal signature on it. Expect the unexpected.

Just to give you more encouragement the attached "egg" attracted me with its lovely engraving. I bought it in 2006 in a mediocre chop on the outskirts of Des Moines, Iowa whilst my wife and her cousin went shopping. We were on a trip there. As you can see the engraving is really good so I figured for $12 it was a great buy. The frustration came from the name "O Spaletto". Googling did nothing - until one day I showed it to a friend who wondered aloud could it be "Of pa 312??".
BINGO! Of course it is Orrefors - the engraving is very typical - pity the person who put the numbers on the base had such bad printing. So never give up enlightenment comes in strange ways and places.

Speaking of never giving up and enlightenment. I was perusing the interwebz the other day and stumbled across some Okra paperweights that had similar coloring to this pulled feather one.
Any one have any experience with Okra weights? I'm curious if the bottoms are alike or not.

Hi there.
I have around 50 Okra weights, but none looks like the two weights in question. I think you need to look elsewhere. The pulled feather one seems to have something inscribed on the base - any clues as to what?

I have worked with Richard Golding Okra for 11 years or more and I can definately state its not one of ours.
