Title: Is this a Strathearn paperweight? ID = Paul Ysart
Post by: rbm6167 on November 06, 2010, 03:01:16 PM
This is another of my recent purchases which I presumed to be Strathearn, and still believe it to be. However, it seems to have a different look to it than the Strathearns I have come across before - the canes, or perhaps the layout, seems to be different, more stunning. It is 3" in diameter.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi

This one is the Ysart, not the other query

Yes, nice Paul Ysart weight.

See lower left in my "spoke" gallery (http://www.btinternet.com/~kevh.glass/pages/catalog/py-spoke.htm) for the pattern, which is quite often seen. (This has been called "half spoke" by some folk.) The twists appear to be the same as in my weight.

Thank you both for the information on both posts. Trust me to get it round the wrong way - just when I think I'm cracking this ID business. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
